Gave de Pau River as it passes through Lourdes (France)
Image of the Gave de Pau River as it passes through the town
of Lourdes in the south of France. It was born in the Pyrenees, in the Circus
of Gavarnie (chosen by Unesco in 1997 as a World Heritage Site) and flows
into the Adur River.
It has a length of just over 190 kilometers. Among the springs
that feed it is the miraculous fountain of the Sanctuary of Lourdes.
